Librarian Position, Tenure track
Instruction

California! We are dedicated to the intellectual development of
students and we have a highly visible role on campus. The University
Library, located in the beautiful wine country, hosts a variety of
amenities including an Automated Retrieval System, wireless technology,
an Information Commons and a café.
We are seeking motivated and creative professionals to join our
fast-paced and forward-thinking library faculty. We have opportunities
in our instruction and technical services programs for individuals who
embrace change, are committed to professional growth, and thrive in a
team environment. This is a library in which ideas and collegiality
flourish, and librarians truly make a difference in the education of
students. The successful candidates will have excellent interpersonal
and communication skills; a strong commitment to student success; and
effective analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills. They
will join a team that collaborates on library projects and programs,
including planning and evaluation; participates in library and campus
cultural activities; and contributes to outreach efforts and projects
in support of librarywide and campus initiatives. Shared
responsibilities include providing reference service to a diverse
community and participating in collection development and faculty
liaison responsibilities.
For the Instruction position we are seeking someone dedicated to
teaching information literacy concepts to students of all levels and
disciplines. This person will also develop and prepare library
instructional materials including courseware, webpages, and printed
materials; and work as part of a team in program planning and
assessment.
The position requires an ALA-accredited MLS or equivalent. Before applying

RANK AND SALARY: Appointment will be at the rank of Senior Assistant
Librarian, salary range of $50,100-$55,000, commensurate with
qualifications and experience.
