Hey Folks,
I'm running into a printing problem with our e-reserves. HTML files that
are deeplinked from several aggregators can be viewed but will not
print. We use the III Course Reserves software.
The issue occors with articles that are in HTML format from vendors that
embed a call to the printer when one chooses a "print this article" option
(Ebsco and ProQuest). In a session outside of ereserves, the "Print"
command invokes a Windows printer dialog box asking which printer, how
many copies, etc. However, in ereserves, an attempt to print generates an
Internet Explorer script error message of "invalid procedure call or
argument". Our Electronic Services Librarian believes the issue has to do
with URL that is generated by our III server; for some reason, it does not
have the same call to the printer script or that something in that script
is not correct.
Any information or tips would be appreciated.
cheers,
Debra Lee
