Re: call number searching

Do you use prestamp information?  We have several that we use.
    Media    This collection includes both  DVDs and VHS videos shelved together.
    Video

    Media    Our miniature scores (22 cm. and under) are shelved separately and have
their own prestamp.
    Scores


    SpC

    Reserve

    Folio

and so on.   There is a special field that you can use for the prestamp.  This would
certainly eliminate any worry about whether your system will index the LC number
correctly.
