The best thing to think about when you are clearing out your training
records is to run a fiscal close. This can clear out all your fake
accounts and balances and give you a fresh start when you are ready to go live.
My IUG presentation on Fiscal Close is available at:
http://library.utoledo.edu/userhomes/cseeman/presentations/IUG2004/IUG04_Color_of_Money.pdf
This has both the telnet and Millennium flavors of running fiscal close.
Insofar as finding those particular functions in the Ordering subsystem,
they can be a bit buried. I am not allowed to give a menu path on the
list. However, having just read the DaVinci code, I wonder what kind of
clues I can provide in this email that will provide you the path, but will
not give it away to everyone...hmmm.
From the main entry, Oscar Roberson's nickname awaits...
If you give it additional thought, you could arrange the order and and
receive some fun.
Then like an ATM machine, you will find your finances functioning.
Well that is totally lame...but I hope it helps. The book is MUCH better
than this. Then again, it could hard to believe it could be worse!

We are preparing to go live with the acquisitions module on Millenium
2002, phase 3. Our trainer gave us a worksheet for how to clean all of our
training records out of our database and reset our fund balances. Much of
this must be done in Telnet, but some of the menus mentioned in the
worksheet are nowhere to be found in Telnet. Specifically, we cannot
locate the "Maintenance of Financial Files" or the "Financial Functions"
menus. Any assistance would be appreciated. Also, if there is a way to
zero out fund balances in the Millenium Acquisitions module, tips on that
would be appreciated.
