Vinaya,
At Marquette University we chose not to implement Reading History for
basically two reasons:
1) The Patriot Act and all of its implications.
2) The patron's reading history can only be deleted by the patron. The
history is not tied to the patron record. Thus, if you delete the patron
record their "history" is still hanging around on the server taking up
space (minimal but some space nonetheless).

Hi everybody,
We are debating the My Millennium Reading History option here at La
Verne and were wondering if other academic libraries had any discussion
before choosing to implement the option or not. What are the pros and
cons? If you chose to implement it, are you educating/informing the user
about its implications re: Patriot Act?
Thank you very much.
Vinaya
