I can't help with your second question, but for first problem you need
to change onLoad="document.forms[0].elements[1].focus();"

to:

onLoad="document.forms[0].SEARCH.focus();"

I copied your html source and tried this, and the cursor correctly
focused inside the search field when the page loaded.

Hope that helps.

I have been trying to fix 2 annoying seemingly unrelated problems that
developed when we switched to the new Millennium OPAC screens. Our
browser version, IE6, hasn't changed. Maybe someone else has had
either
of the problems and can help?

1) On search screens other than our opacmenu screen, the cursor is
not
positioned on the page in the textbox when the page loads and requires
the user to manually position or tab the cursor. On the various
srchhelp screens, we have the <body> attribute:

onLoad="document.forms[0].elements[1].focus();"

which I believe should control this. We also have the <form> attribute
name="search". I think there's a java script to do this, but I don't
think we need to script it with the above attribute.

2) On a word search, there is the usual option to Modify Search,
which
takes the user back to the Advanced Search screen. However, unlike our
old OPAC, the form is blank, i.e., the previous search to be modified
is
not present in the form. We haven't changed anything from before that
I
would think would affect this. Is there something I'm missing in
WWWoptions or the System Options> OPAC that might need changing? Other
ideas?

Any help would be appreciated.
