RE: what am I doing wrong?

Aurora,
We at Houston Public Library have used tag 949 to create a dummy item
for each new title we order in the system for a while. It has enhanced the
number of patron placed holds immensely. Our format is slightly different
from yours, and we only use one tag 949 for each bib. This is our syntax :
949 *recs=b;i=/loc=hhpl/ty=184/sta=h;
Hope this helps
Rosa

Subject: what am I doing wrong?
Hi all,
Can anyone please help me? I am trying to create a location and item
record with some values for my MARC Serials Solutions records. This is
the syntax I used:
949 *loc=elres/sta=p/i2=-/ty=9/cop=1;
949 1 *bn=elres
It did not work. I got an error message in the location and no item record.
What is it I am doing wrong?
