RE: Making mainmenu the default desktop

I don't know if you have gotten a responds on this or not but I use a
software called Public Web Browser. Here is the web site:
http://www.teamsoftwaresolutions.com/index.html I am not sure if it can
do everything you want but our PC are setup just to search catalog and
the web, we have no icons on the desktop...they can't see them and it
times out and refreshes back to the home page we have setup. It is also
really easy to use!

Good luck and I'd be happy to help if you need anything else.

Subject: Making mainmenu the default desktop

This is probably a very naive question, but I ran it by our IT guys and
they gave me a glazed look that always frightens me. We want our public
PCs to be used for two things: searching the catalog and using the World

Wide Web. How does one configure a PC so that mainmenu takes the place
of the desktop menu of icons and cannot be closed or "gotten behind"?
Also, after a time-out, we'd like the PC to default back to mainmenu,
regardless of whether somebody was searching the catalog or the Web. Do
we need special software for this?
