This also happened to me quite often on Release 2002 Phase 3. It hasn't
happened to me yet on Silver, but then we've only been on Silver for
about 2 days now. While it is true that after you click OK you seem to
be able keep on working, I have sometimes found (sometimes long after
it's too late) that certain Millennium features actually don't work
quite the way they're supposed to after this message appears. I forget
now what the exact details of that are because I have gotten into the
habit of restarting Millennium every time this message appears just to
avoid trouble. But I vaguely remember that sometimes (not always) after
this message appears, I might be unable to edit a record or else my
edits would not be saved or I would be unable to close the record after
editing; or if I decided to go to create lists, I might be unable to
enter create lists. Restarting Millennium would always fix such problems.
For what it's worth, I seemed to get this message most often when I was
doing a lot of call number searches. I would search call numbers for
several minutes, maybe a half and hour, without any trouble. Then I
would turn away and do something else for a few minutes. When I looked
back at my screen, that message would have appeared.

Sometimes the message even pops up when I am working in other programs,
but still have MilCat open. I have never actually had to restart the
client - doesn't seem to affect anything, really.

My cataloger keeps getting this message in MilCat. Release Silver.
"The server is not responding. The client must be restarted. If the
problem
persists, please contact Innovative."
My cataloger clicks ok and keeps on working in MilCat. Has anyone else
seen this? I'm glad it keeps working, but this type of message tends to
"panic" my staff.
