This happened to us as well. The problem is related to the fact that III has changed the vendor file from a flat file to a database structure, adding room for a great many more vendors. It is no longer possible to access the vendors from a simple drop-down list when creating an order record; instead you must look it up in this vendor database, requiring many more clicks. This new enhancement is probably useful for large libraries with massive numbers of vendors; for a library like ours that only uses a few vendors it is a pain in the neck.

That being said, our vendor file also disappeared after the upgrade. I called III in a panic, and they explained that it was not lost, only "hidden", and they were able to retrieve it in short order. So call them and they will fix it for you.

Good luck.
