Hi,
Being a risky person, I've been using SP2 Beta for months and just upgraded to SP2.
See
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=049C9DBE-3B8E-4F30-8245-9E368D3CDB5A&displaylang=en
This download is the full thing. With WindowsUpdate your dounload may be much smaller if you have some components already installed. With the full SP2, you will be able to install it on any XP machine. Just burned it on a cd and/or made a network share for network installations; Much faster. So far I've installed it on over 20 machines with no problems.
I have no problems with any of my software such as Office, Millennium, webOPAC, and Norton AntiVirus 9 (which is on the list). The popup blocker warns you every time it blocks something and gives you a choice if you would like to allow or permanently block a domain for future popups. The firewall prompts you when a program is communicating. I think the firewall is the main problem, but if you just allow a program to run when prompted it works just fine.
SP2 has an uninstall option so test it on a few machines and get used to the popup blocker and firewall and you'll like it. It's a complete turn around for security and should vastly change the threat of being online.

I have installed on 2 test machines running Millenium. So far we have had no problems at all, though it does seems to run a "little" bit slow but hadly to shout about(it could be just the current stats of the network).
We also run Sophos anti virus and there were no issues. IE, Firefox and netscape browser have had no issues at all. All in all it seems fine, at this stage in time
Cheers
