Hi George,
We are now using Silver, and the client version we downloaded from III
is the same version that we used for phase 3. But it does use all the
new functionality included in silver.
We had no problems with the client loading - each client loaded when the
staff member started their client the first day after the upgrade, and
that part of the process was very quick (maybe 5 minutes at the most,
over our 100meg campus network). No-one had any problems at all with any
of the modules(and we have had problems with previous clients loading.)

Subject: Millennium Silver
I have a question I hope some people can help me with: The III web site
speaks of Millennium Silver as something brand new; a new version of the
Millennium Client. Yet, on the CSI direct web site, it seems to equate
Millennium Silver with Release 2002 Phase 3, or JRE 1.4.1, which was
released in December 2003. I already have JRE 1.4.1 (or milup141.exe)
on my
computer. So do I actually have Millennium Silver? Or am I
mis-interpreting things, and Silver is really something different from
milup141.exe? Also, when I did download and install milup141.exe
several
months ago, I didn't seem to have the problems that others are talking
about. I was able to download and install milup141.exe in about 20
minutes
or so. One thing that may or may not be relevant here: I am a
cataloger,
so I have been using milcat exclusively. I have not used milacq or any
of
the other modules.
