Does anyone else out there have experience with using the VB-ZOOMC API to the YAZ Z39.50 software (see sourceforge.net for the VB-ZOOM and/or VB-ZOOMC software)?

I've created an MS-Access database with one table that is an import of 3300+ records for books in French Literature from MLA (I hope this is legit, I'm using it for purely noncommercial purposes. That's another inquiry...)

Then I've created an Access VBA module that calls the VBZOOM Z39.50 client to search our III catalog by ISBN and identify all that we own/don't own.

The 3rd step, to search Bowker booksinprint via Z39.50 and VBZOOM, works well, to identify which are still in print.

The problem is that for some reason, my local III server seems to timeout after about 6 searches, and I have to create a new connection to the Z39.50 server - otherwise it simply reports 0 hits. So I'm getting a lot of false negatives, unless I open the connection anew for every search. Which I could do, but I thought some of you might have a better solution. If anyone out there has experience with VBZOOM and would like to help me with this, I'd appreciate it.
