- Subject: Acquisitions module - wait for Silver?
First-- thank you to everyone who posts on this lists. We are a new installation and reviewing all these real-world situations is extremely helpful to us.
We are going live on August 3, or thereabouts. Staff training and activation of the Acquisitions module is scheduled to go up about three weeks later. However, we will be moving to Silver shortly, possibly as soon as a couple of months.
Acq people - do you think it would be to our advantage to wait and not come up on the current version of Acq until we can use Silver? From what we have read, Silver Acquisitions is a much better product than the 2003 release. We can keep our home-grown processes going for a couple more months, I think.
Also, when moving to Silver, do you need to set up all the vendors again, or does the information move over?
