- Subject: Sonicwall and Millennium: Any experience with conflicts?
One of our sites has been having difficulty getting a new Sonicwall
firewall / filtering appliance to work dependably with Millennium
Circulation (Release 2002 Phase 3). No port filtering is being done, only
content filtering ala CIPA requirements. Millennium Circ works fine with
content filtering turned on for the entire network, but slows down
dramatically as soon as the Sonicwall is told to NOT filter the Millennium
Circ machines. Within a few minutes of the change, each machine will throw
an error of the sort one sees when telecommunications is interrupted,
directing the user to shut down.
Insights, theories and educated guesses would be most welcome.
Thanks.
Karl
