TECHNICAL SERVICES LIBRARIAN / CATALOGER

The University of New England Libraries invite applicants for the
position of Technical Services Librarian / Cataloger. Primary
responsibilities include: original & copy cataloging in a variety of
formats and maintenance of bibliographic & authority records in the
Libraries' Innovative Interfaces, Inc. integrated online system.

Qualified candidates will have a masters degree in library science from
an ALA accredited program, a minimum of two years of cataloging
experience in an academic/health sciences library, demonstrated
knowledge/experience with DDC & LC classifications, LCSH, MESH, AACR2,
MARC formats, OCLC, and integrated online systems (Innovative
Interfaces, Inc., preferred). Excellent analytical, organizational &
problem-solving skills; ability to meet deadlines & to work
independently & cooperatively in a flexible, service-oriented team
environment.

The position will reside in the Josephine S. Abplanalp Library on the
University's Westbrook College Campus in Portland, Maine.
