E-mail notices

We want to implement the e-mail notices feature in Circulation, but we would
like to take a trial run first before mass sending out notices.  Is there
any way to do this?  In other words, we just want to make sure it works.
Any ideas on how best to proceed?  

 

Also, since we're an academic library, the e-mail addresses we used are the
ones provided by the University.  Is it possible to have more than one
e-mail address in a patron record and have the overdues/holds sent to both
addresses?  Any information you all can provide will be greatly appreciated.
