Barbara,

We should be thanking you. You have given a lot of service to the IUG over the years. You have always been ready, willing and able to do anything and everything in support of this group. You served two terms on the IUG Steering Committee, first as Member at Large and then as Treasurer. You received the coveted (and only) Great Fiscal Management award at IUG 10 in Houston. Even when you no longer held office, you were always around to help stuff bags and lend moral support.

On a personal note, I remember that you were the first person that welcomed me and took me under your wing when we first purchased our Innovative system. I knew USD had Innovative and I saw your name tag at an ALA in San Francisco and introduced myself. Instead of blowing me off, you invited me to lunch. This led to many future lunches--the last (at Midwinter in San Diego) of which was quite similar to the first--perched on stools at a Sports Bar. You also gave me lots of useful information and advice when we were considering participation in the LinkPlus (INN-Reach) consortium. Your experiences with San Diego Circuit were very helpful to me. I'm sure many others have benefited from your kindness and generosity.

Those folks in the airports in Florida will be in very good hands.

Sincerely,

Karen Johnson
IUG Past Chair

I want to thank everyone on this list for all the help you have given me over the years. Tomorrow is my last day at USD. I am retiring and moving to Florida.

I want to thank the Southern California Users Group Steering Committee for the corsage I wore at my retirement party. It looked beautiful on my blue suit. Julie Su got digital pictures so you can see it.

I am so happy to be retiring. I think Wes and I being called to Florida for a reason. I figure if nothing else I can meet people at the airport and direct them to the cruise ships.

Cheryl expect a call in about two weeks. I want you to show me your Florida.
