I haven't heard that Innovative has an opinion about running scripts on
(against) the system. My scripts don't do anything that a human couldn't
do in the standard terminal interface. Scripts may make mistakes, and that
would be bad, but people make mistakes too and that's just as bad.
Of course, scripts should be tested carefully before running them on your
system to ensure that they don't make mistakes....
Scripts can type and read information much faster than humans --
this is normally a good thing. If you modify too many records in too
little time, you can fill up the transaction file and/or clog up the
link of you use innreach. It's not an issue for most scripts, but it is
something to be aware of if you need to change lots of records.
