We also run a full backup Monday-Friday. The new Release, Silver will
add an automatic verification step to unattended backup. The process
will take even less of your time to manage each day. Tha is if you are
able to move to Silver when it goes into production.

We have done unattended full backups of our innopac system for years
without a problem (well, except when we run into bad tapes).
We perform the backups Monday through Friday starting at 5am. I verify
the tape and then intialize the next days tape in the morning when I
get into work..

Hi Everyone,
I am looking into running unattended full backups on a daily basis.
For the past 10 years we have done a daily backup everyday and a full
backup every Wednesday . All backup discs are kept in a secure
location off site. On a Friday about 6 weeks ago, we had a total disc
failure. Innovative was able to use the full backup from the previous
Wednesday to restore data until that point. However, due to some
misstep on Innovative's part, they were not able to use the daily
backups to restore date from the Thursday's and Friday's daily
backups. Long story short, I was advised by Innovative to do a full
backup every day. The most efficient means to accomplish this would
be to schedule the backup after closing and then have staff verify
the backup the following morning. Does anyone have any advise to
offer? Good experiences? Bad? Any information would be greatly
appreciated. Have a great weekend!
