Innovative is our third automation system. We were able to be
interactive with "the wonderful little brown box" manufactured by
Innovative (I'm not sure if there is a relationship there or
not???). Then we moved to our next automation system and had to
batchload. We definitely found out what our advantages had been
with the interactive connection. We were able to see our records
immediately and make corrections then. With the batchload and the
size of our workload, we were looking for our items that needed to
be corrected with the second system. Needless to say we were
thrilled when we moved to Innovative and returned to the
interactive download. We process approximately 8,000 items per
month, and at times have three catalogers working on OCLC.
