- Subject: RE: Printing Spine and Pocket Labels with Millenium using a form feeddot matrix printer
Blake:
We do. We use Microline 320 turbo, 9 pin printer attached to a
workstation with windowsXP. We use it to print pocket labels for
serials. We used to print both spine and pockets, but we never use the
spine part for serials. So you can print both spine and pocket. I
changed the settings so now we only print pocket labels. We choose to
print onto the dot matrix because this way you get the label printed
right after you check in an issue, easier then queuing and printing them
through a laser.
The settings for my label specs:
1 > Print spine
label......................................................NO
2 > Width of spine, in
columns............................................N/A
3 > Width of label, in
columns.............................................28
4 > Width of gap, in
columns..............................................N/A
5 > Height of label, in
lines..............................................15
6 > Vertical space between labels on printout, in
lines.....................3
7 > Printer selection.......................................USE LOCAL
PRINTER
8 > Breakmode for call number....
Hope this helps.

Subject: Printing Spine and Pocket Labels with Millenium using a form
feeddot matrix printer
Hello all.
Linda Warren was very helpful the last time I asked a question on this
subject, and basically she told me that she NEVER got this to work,
although
our implementation team tells us that many of their customers are able
to
print spine and pocket labels using dot matrix printers.
She said she uses labels sheets with her laser printer.
MY question is:
Has ANYONE gotten labels to print with a dot matrix form feed printer?
If
so, what version printer are you using, and what operating system are
you
using?
Thanks!
