- Subject: Exporting serial holdings data
Forgive me if this is an elementary question, but...
We use MARC holdings. We want to create reports of our serial holdings
in various locations, formats, etc., and we've hit a snag. When we
export our LIB HAS statements, they come out messy--with some of the
MARC holdings tagging--rather than easily readable. Here's one of the
cleaner examples:
1.1 2 3 1995;"1.2 3- 1996-"
What we want for our reports is something like the Web OPAC display:
v.2:no.3 (1995), v.3 (1996)-
Is there a way to get clean holdings data out of the system? If not,
has anyone written any scripts or macros to clean up the data for human
consumption?
Thanks very much.
Janet
