Folks --

We are quickly moving towards the end of the submission cycle for the 2004 IUG enhancements ballot. Here is an update of where we are so far.

This enhancement cycle ENDS on January 31, 2004 (that is only six days away...less than one week!). Please make sure that you get your enhancement ideas in before the end of the month to be considered in the Spring 2004 ballot. As of today, we had 477 enhacements placed so far from 112 different IUG member libraries.

When submitting a request, please consider the following:

--Describe the problem you are looking to solve and suggest the improvement.

--When relevant, include the Users Manual page number. If not in the manual, enter "N/A"

--Don't get hung up on which category the enhancement will go in. We can sort that out later.

--Don't assume other users understand the problem that you are seeking to fix. You might want to add what steps you are taking so other users and FEs can see what you are trying to accomplish.

--You do not need to go to other users and "float" an idea for an enhancement. If you think it is a good idea, then it IS a good idea.

--Push the boundaries of the system and make suggestions that move the product into new directions.

Please keep the requests coming! We will end the current cycle at the end of January, 2004.
