We purchased RFID technology and are in the processing of tagging
our existing collection. The plan is to go live with Checkpoint
this summer after our building expansion is completed. I'll let
you know how it works for us.

support this?

Santa Clara City Library has been using Checkpoint RFID for 3 ½
years. We did a presentation at the 2001 IUG, much of which can
be seen on our Web page:

http://library.ci.santa-clara.ca.us/rfid/checkpoint.html

This presentation is being updated, but the current version will
answer many of your questions.

Dear list:

I am intrigued by this new technology - actually not so new - but
now being
used in libraries.

Are there any III libraries using RFID? If so, how?

Are the current systems - 3M and VTLS - compatible with III?

Any thoughts or comments?

Thanks,

Barb
