For a list such as this what I do is to use the character based client, and
search for the titles one by one, and export the records to a created list.
What's really works well for us is that we have two libraries on our system
and if I use the patron interface on the character-based system it will
restrict records to my scope. After you finish exporting the records use
the "*" to switch back to staff mode and have the exported records copied to
a "create list."

Subject: Query for Create List gurus
The ACC History Department has created a generic reading list for US
History I. It would be useful if students could search for all the titles
on the list. Consequently, we would like to add a note to the bib record
for titles that we own. The note would say something like: U. S. History
1301 Book List FY2004.
We have an I-code that distinguishes history books, but there are over
10,000 in our system, so that is a lot of items to delete, even using
Millennium create list. However, the faculty list is also long and would
require MUCH keying in to create a list this way.
At this point, it seems like the best way to create a list is to create a
list for all books with I-code for history, sort the list, and then delete
all the titles that are not part of the reading list.
Is there another way that I'm missing?
