- Subject: Renewals and Expired Patrons
We are a public library. Our patron records expire annually, and we block
new checkouts for expired patrons.
But we would like to allow expired patrons to self-renew their items already
on loan, either in TRS or the OPAC. Currently our system blocks that, and I
would like to know if there is a parameter we can change in order to allow
it. In other words, we'd like to allow renewals but block new checkouts for
all expired patrons. I have looked through the manual, and from what I can
tell there doesn't appear to be a way to do this.
Does anyone know otherwise? We are running 2002 Phase 3. Thanks.
