- Subject: pull-down menu default: keyword or title?
I'd like to take an informal poll as to what search option libraries choose
to default to in their pull-down menus on the front page of their webpac
(if you use the pull down menu). A quick check of Innovative's list of
notable OPACs reveals that 5 of those use keyword as the default search,
and 2 use title.
Currently, our catalog's pull-down menu defaults to title, but we're
thinking of having it default to keyword, since in many ways it's a more
thorough search. Your response would help our decision.
So, if you have a minute, can you let me know what you use? If I get a
good response I'll post results to list.
Thanks.
