- Subject: RE: isi and proxy rewrite solution
I've been working with ISI as well as reading the list and communicating with other users. We seem to have solved our current problems with ISI and are using the following configuration:
Okay, I have to credit this solution to Lorraine Falconer of the Univ. Of Sydney Library, as well as Vanessa Arce of III, and Chris at ISI.
We had to do three things to get this all to work:
I added two entries to the WAM forward table:
1. isi10.isiknowledge.com
2. *.isiknowledge.com
The first is the isi server our site is directed to. Because it reads this information first, it gives this entry higher priority than the second entry, which is used to handle any redirects which may not include isi10 in the URL.
We also had to change the links on our Website to match the first proxy entry. We do not automatically proxy our database links at this time (although we are going to be doing this soon). So the link from our Website to the ISI Web of Knowledge is:
http://isi10.isiknowledge.com/portal.cgi
When we change this to be automatically proxied, this will be:
http://0-isi10.isiknowledge.com.library.lib.asu.edu/portal.cgi
I don't know if this will help anyone else, but I thought I'd post just in case.
Have a good holiday everyone.
