Hi everyone,
I use create list constantly, and usually can get what I want, but
I'm stumped here. Hope it is something hideously simple that everyone
will jump right on.
I have very overdue items (3+ years) that are suppressed from the
public catalog on a regular basis. We use ICODE3 status n. However,
some of the bib records have not been suppressed. What I would like to
do is, get a list of bib records that have only suppressed items
attached, then global update the bib record to suppressed. While I can
easily get a list of bib records that have both suppressed and
unsuppressed items attached, I can't seem to get a list of bibs
excluding those with both. I create a list of bibs with item has
ICODE3=n. I could then search for those bibs with ICODE3<>n, but i
don't need that list. I need a list excluding the bibs that have
available items. If I try ICODE3<>-, I just get all of the records,
because all of them have at least one ICODE3=n attached already. [It
would be very nice if there was a way to exclude all bibs with MORE THAN
ONE item, order, etc. record attached. It would narrow the field
considerably.]
I could manually compare the lists to remove the items from the
second list, but what would be the point? I might as well manually
change the bib suppression at that point. At about 1000 records, I
would prefer not to.
I guess I need ICODE3=n AND NOT ICODE3=- or something of that sort,
if possible.
Hope this is not complete gibberish. Any help greatly appreciated!
Thanks, Stephanie
