Dear David,
We have no daily fines, but any patron who fails to return a recalled book
within 10 days is fined $10.00 per day up to a max of $100.00. As Candace
notes, this is accomplished by
inserting
10 in loan rule element 15 > TIME RETURN RECALL.
$0 in loan rule element 41 > AMOUNT OF FINE 1st F PER
$10 in loan rule element 47 > FINE INCR IF RECALL
We increased this from $1 daily ($25 max) to $10 daily ($100 max) after
discovering that students found it was cheaper to pay a $25 fine than it
was to buy a text book.

Does anyone have a loan rule with no fine for nornal overdue, but a fine on
recall? I'm trying to do this using FINE INCR IF RECALL but now wondering if
you have to have a value to increase from before it'll work?
Many thanks for your assistance
David
