Chronology captions in Phase III

We have experienced a reduction in speed from Phase II to Phase III while 
collapsing boxes into a single bound line when using the "Checkin Bound" 
feature in Millennium Serials. III believes that part of this problem may 
be that we have never updated the chronology captions (not the numeration 
captions) in the advanced checkin card set-up. This is difficult to confirm 
because the problems with slowness cannot always be duplicated with other 
volumes on the same record. We are currently and have been a beta-test site 
since Millennium Serials first came into being, and have never had a need 
to update these fields nor experienced any difficulties due to our failure 
to do so prior to the release of Phase III. Do any other libraries do 
anything with the chronology captions and, if so, what do you do with them?
