Although I am not a technical expert, I do see that in our
Millennium Cataloging the searching choices are just the
same as the indexes we have set up across other parts of our
system. We do have a search for the ARN (authority record
number) index and could certainly search specifically for an
authority record--if only we knew that number! Generally, I do
a search for the heading I am interested in in the index where
should live, such as author or LC subject or title (for series),
and come up with the authority record if one exists.
I must say though, we are not actually using MilCirc; we're
still on GUICAT. We just use the Global Change feature of
MilCirc right now (love that "preview"!!), since the limitation on
templates in Millennium really shuts us out. (We have 150+
libraries any one of which may have upward of 50 or more
templates!)
