- Subject: Streamline procedure for collecting in-house usage of current serials
Dear colleagues,
To count the in-house usage of current individual serials, we generate a
call no. label with a barcode below the call no. when check-in to track the
figures. The barcode represents the bib no. of the serial record in Innopac.
We scan the labels in daily serials shelving. On each scan of the label, it
records one usage of an issue and the barcode data (bib no.) is then
uploaded and matched against Innopac to determine its location code and call
no. Further statistics can be generated from these results. Attached please
find the sample for your reference.
However, its method slows down the daily check-in as it takes additional 10
seconds for each issue for "cut & paste" and printing. Please advise us if
there is any way to streamline this procedure. Thank you for your kind
attention.
Best regards,
Venia Mak
