I've spent some time this morning trying to get Media Viewer to print to a
local printer. I've tried Explorer 5.5, 6.0, Netscape 6.0, 6.2.5 and 7.0,
and Opera 6.2 and 7.2. The only one in which printing worked was Explorer
5.5. In all the others, I have tried various options, but can't get Media
Viewer to print to a local printer. Instead, I get the message, "Printing
not supported by this browser."

CSDirect tells me that I should "upgrade" to Netscape 4.5 or Explorer 4.01
(or Explorer 5.0 when it becomes available), and I'm willing to try these
versions if I could find them. But I can't imagine instructing our patrons
to do so.

I understand that printing is one of the thorniest problems for Java, but
for e-reserves it's essential. Has anyone else had success in getting
Media Viewer to print to a local printer from a current browser? Will the
Phase 3 upgrade help?
