With previous Millennium JRE updates we have not followed the standard route
as suggested by III. Instead we have scripted an unattended silent
installation of the JRE using the JRE's installation InstallShield
technology. This allowed a seamless silent installation of the software on
250+ PCs.

We triggered the update using a login script which would check the current
version of the JRE. If an update was necessary, the previous versions would
be automatically uninstalled and the new JRE would then be installed. All
that was required was the Millennium icon with the correct syntax.

With the introduction of Millennium 2002 release 3 the installer technology
changes significantly. The installer does not use InstallShield but instead
uses InstallAnywhere by ZeroG (http://www.zerog.com). The milup141.exe
program, when run manually and installed, will install the software,
including the JRE to c:\millennium. This installer technology is new to us
and we cannot find a way to install the software in an unattended mode. The
ZeroG website indicates that it should be possible but we cannot get it to
work.

We do not want to have to install manually the milup141.exe program on 250+
PCs but are keen to use an unattended mode as we used to do. Can anyone
offer any advice?
