I am cataloging a copy of Hendrik Cause's De koninglycke hovenier. We have
another copy dated 1676 (from the t.p. of the bound with as issued
Nederlantze hesperides of Commelin. Both the Cause and the Commelin have
the phrase "met privilegie" on the t.p. The new copy has "met privilegie
voor 15 iaren" on the first, and "met privilegie voor vyftien iaaren" on the
second. Am I justified to add the 15 years to 1676 and come with a
publication date of [1691?], or not? I have searched a number of places for
some record of this slightly different edition, with no luck, though I
suspect the differing statement may have gone unnoticed.
Any light on this would be most welcome.
