- Subject: linked bib records and Holds
Has anyone linked item records from 1 bib to another bib in order to
fill holds. For example, if we have 1 record for a paperback and 1
record for a hardcover and we linked the item records of the paperback
to the bib record for the hardcover, would we not able to fill a hold
with either hardcover or paperback if the patron placed a bib hold on
the hardcover? It seems logical to me that this would work although I
have had no success thus far.
Anybody else try this?
