Fines and Penalties - Ryerson University Libraries
Fines are penalties for keeping library materials past their agreed upon
return date. They are calculated by the hour or day overdue as follows:
Loan Period
Fine Per Item
Maximum Charge Per Item
General:
Weekly
$0.50 per day
$20.
Hourly
$1.00 per hour
$50.
Special Materials:
Periodicals
$1.00 per hour
$50.
DVD
$3.00 per day
$120.
Music CD
$0.50 per day
$20.
Video (hourly)
$1.00 per hour
$50.
Video (daily)
$3.00 per day
$120.
Audio cassette
$0.50 per day
$20.
