Our library takes a slightly different approach than what I have seen
mentioned so far. We use PHP and MySQL to create our new list
monthly(http://www.icpl.org/catalog/lists/newmaterials.php). The
initial programming took several hours but now it only takes 10-15
minutes each month to run the list of new materials and dump it into the
MySQL database. We run the list and export it to a delimited file.
Another PHP page deletes last months data and pulls in the new data from
the exported file. Each collection has a separate PHP page that takes
care of generating the list each time a user hits that page. I would be
happy to share the PHP pages and the database structure if anyone wants
to play with it.

Is anyone using "Create Lists" to create a new book list for each
discipline each semester?
