Hi,
We run a monthly create list of all new acquisitions and gifts organized
by call number and title. Two years ago at the Houston IUG conference I
attended the Millennium Create list session (G1) and was able to bring
information back regarding scripts. In this session Elizabeth Thomsen of
North Boston Library Exchange gave us information on creating a script that
will automatically create certain review files on a daily or monthly bases.
I gave this information to our Computer Center and they have been able to
setup our system so these new titles lists are run at the end of each month.
We have had a few bugs but have been able to work through them. If you are
interested her presentation information is available from the IUG site and I
was also able to locate the script information
http://www.noblenet.org/swapshop/lists/scripts.htm
At the time of her presentation she said she would be available if anyone
wanted to contact her regarding the creation of scripts. This has been a
great time saver for me not only with creating new titles list but also with
the creation of other lists. Hope this helps

Subject: New Book list in academic environment

Is anyone using "Create Lists" to create a new book list for each discipline
each semester?
