When a patron tries to place a hold they will occasionally get a message

"There is a problem with your library record. Please see a librarian."

At Dallas County Community College District libraries we have Reference Librarians and Circulation Librarians. The Reference librarians don't have Millennium CIRC on their machines. When a patron comes to them and asks about what the problem is they have to refer them to the Circulation area.

We wanted to change the message to say "There is a problem with your library record. Please check with the circulation staff." III tells me that the message is hard coded in the system and can not be changed. The help desk tech. did say that he thought that he heard of a location coding a separate web page that is brought up before the message. The new page instructs the students what to do if they see that message.

If you have done this I would like some information from you about what files need to be set up/changed.

Thanks in advance for any help.
