Clearing LPATRON

All,

We've just decided to turn off the "store check-in time and last patron" 
circ option.  According to the manual, the data will not be cleared from 
the field.  It just won't be updated.  This is not a field that can be 
updated so is there any way to clear out the data from the LPATRON 
field?  Can III do this for us?
