We are having the same problem. No solution yet, but if anyone has an answer we need it too.

I was wondering if anyone is having trouble with WAM and E*Subscribe. We
have our link so that all users (whether on or off-campus) will go through
the Web Access Management for statistical reasons. Since we're not that
large of a University, we don't think it will be too much of a problem.
However, we have experienced problems with E*Subscribe. We can get to the
site and to the search page, but when we do a search, we get an error
message. At first, I thought it was just too many people accessing the same
database at the same time, but that doesn't appear to be the case because
it's happening at all hours of the day. If I connect to E*Subscribe without
going through WAM, it works just fine. Any ideas?
