telnet on the Millenium toolbar - updated

I earlier asked about enabling the local telnet software on the 
Millenium toolbar, since the manual's method was not working for 
me.
My question was answered by another list member, whose solution 
unfortunately didn't work for me. Thanks anyway. Wonder why it 
worked for you?
III called me back, however, with the answer that does work:
the name of the file (in my case, at least) must be admin.bat
instead of admin.cmd so it is a batch file.
Our telnet also loads a profile (fonts, colors, options, etc.) from a 
file; this goes after the command path and before the %1%
in the line.
