Oh wise users of Innovative's Web Access Management product, I beseech your
help in discovering the answer to this trivial matter that has haunted us
this day..... :-0
We are having a problem with WAM hanging and I'm wondering if it is because
a lot of users/patrons are trying to access the same databases. This day is
an unusually busy day for us, with a couple of librarians going off-site to
give library instruction and a couple on campus for two other classes. All
four are using the same databases (E*Subscribe and ProQuest Education
Complete), all which go through WAM. However, many of them are not able to
get very far without it timing out or giving that dreaded "This page cannot
be displayed" error message. I tried using the direct link, bypassing WAM,
and it seemed to work fine. So I guess my question is, #1, is there a limit
to the number of users accessing the same database through WAM (we have an
unlimited OPAC/WAM license)? and #2, is there anyway to prevent this from
happening again, without having to bypass WAM?
