Terry, et. al.,
Setting up WS_FTP is simple. WS_FTP has two sides--the local side (left
screen) and the remote side (right screen). Select the Connect button. A
dialog box will appear. Create a New session. Give it any name you want.
Put in the host name (the III server address). For the Live connection put
in liveftp as the username. In the Startup tab for the Initial Remote Site
Folder you can put in /screens if you want to go directly there. For the
Initial Local Folder you can put in any directory you want to hold your
files, i.e. c:\data\library. Click on Advanced tab. Under Remote Port put
in 1021. Click on the Apply button to save your profile.
You will then need to do the same thing for the Staging area. Username is
staging. That's pretty much it.
To send text files, i.e. html, css, etc. send them as ASCII. Image files,
i.e. gif, jpeg, etc. send as binary. Auto is smart enough to figure this
out. Hope this helps.

I'd enjoy hearing from anyone who has set up the 3rd party FTP availability
in Release 3 - particularly if you are using WS_FTP. Please reply to the
list, since I suspect that lots of people will want to know how to do this,
and it should be on the record.

Humor is too important a matter to be left in the hands of a bunch of
