Paul:
This is the piece which will delight lots of people out there who can
not wait to get their hands on the pureFTP feature of the Phase 3:
Follow this procedure to save you some time figuring out how it works:
1. change the account passwords for liveftp and stagingFTP. That is the
first thing to do. Remember: the account name is liveftp and
stagingFTP. You will need that to ftp directly to either live or
staging folders. The commands are under the edit www help screens.
2. Go under limit network access and input the ips which need to use the
ftp feature. At some point, the screen will ask for a login name. You
can enter in any name. This login name does not matter.
3. Now open up your favorite ftp client and enter the account name,
either liveftp or stagingFTP. The port number has to be 1021. Enter
password. You will be connected to that folder!
4. for Dreamweaver users, you can define the remote server for which
Innovative has the documentation online. For Frontpage, use the publish
settings to accomplish the same job. Or you can use the pureFTP feature
to ftp files the old-fashion way by using your chosen ftp client.

I would be interested to hear any of the Beta sites talk about their
experience with Phase 3. Or for Said to elaborate a bit on his comment
"carefully read the release notes before thinking of an upgrade"
We are a new site, our server with Phase 2 was installed two weeks ago.
We are discussing with our team upgrading to Phase 3 before we begin
training staff.
Is anyone suggesting that we'd want to train staff on Phase 2, then let
the dust settle on Phase 3 out in the field, and then later upgrade to
Phase 3, and retrain staff?
Opinions regarding the wisdom of either approach are welcome.

Hi gang,
I haven't received an official notice from Innovative but I just popped
into CSDirect for something and Phase 3 is available for download.
