Jill,
Title searches retrieve title headings. If more than one heading
matches the search string, a heading browse results. Headings often,
though not always, represent multiple individual bib records --
doubtless of several media types. Hence, it makes no sense to
display a medium indication next to a heading.
Only when one has selected a specific heading with more than one bib
associated with it do we get a browse of actual titles pulled from
each bib record. At this level medium is meaningful.
Of course, this reasoning is not obvious in cases where multiple
headings are displayed, each representing a single bib, or where the
search string uniquely matches a single heading and the user is
dropped directly into the title browse for that heading...
