Media icons in the index display screen

I'm not sure if this might not be an enhancement request or a wwwoptions
setting.  We already have media set for the browse display...but folks
are having problems understanding why it doesn't display all the time a
browse (index, brief or extended).

Is there a wwoption i'm missing...

Jill,
I would like for media icons to display in the index display for single
hits that match my search term.
Now only the grouped  multiple hits display icons because they are
viewed singly in the browse display. Can we have media icons in the
index display for the single hits?.
